Machines

Although this song gets repetitive it gives good examples of machines and how they make doing this easier because they reduce the force by increasing the distance. For example when they are singing about scissors, if the handles are longer then less for is needed, because you would be applying a little about of force over a longer distance. An important thing to note about machines is that they do not decrease the work to move something, for work in = work out.  This equation refers to how the work in (force x distance) of something while using a machine is equal to the work out (force x distance) of the object moving in absence of the machine.
