Work and Power

What I like about this video is that his description of power and watts is similar to the way my teacher taught these concepts to me. Work which he mentions in his video is force x distance and it done in everyday life, even when you walk up the stairs, or when you lift something up. Keep in mind the difference between lifting a book up and walking straight carrying a book. In the first case work is happening, because the force is being applied and the distance it is lifted is parallel. But when you walk straight carrying a book the force and distance is not parallel, therefore, no work is being done. The second concept that this video mentions is power which is how quickly work is done (power = work/time).
